.1 إيه هو حرف الجر؟ What is a Preposition?

حرف الجر أو Preposition كلمة صغيرة بتوضّح مكان أو علاقة الاسم بحاجة تانية: فوق، تحت، في، على...

🤔 تشبيه يقرّب الفكرة:

تخيل عندك كوباية ومكتب. الكوباية ممكن تكون على المكتب، تحت المكتب، جنب المكتب، في الدرج. كل كلمة من دول حرف جر بيحدّد المكان.

The cat is on the table.
القطة على الترابيزة.

أنا مستني عند الباب.

.3 حروف المكان الأخرى Other Prepositions

under (تحت) over / above (فوق) next to / beside (جنب) near (قريب من) behind (ورا) in front of (قدّام) between (بين) opposite (مقابل)
The ball is under the bed.
الكورة تحت السرير.

There is a garden in front of the house.
في جنينة قدّام البيت.
The kids are playing behind the school.
العيال بيلعبوا ورا المدرسة.
in front of = قدّام (3 كلمات)، عكسها behind = ورا.

amongوسط مجموعةamong the trees
The bank is between the school and the park.
البنك بين المدرسة والحديقة.

.7 تعبيرات ثابتة Fixed Expressions

فيه تعبيرات لازم تحفظها زي ما هي:

at home (في البيت) at school (في المدرسة) at work (في الشغل) in bed (في السرير) on the bus (في الأتوبيس) in the car (في العربية)
خلي بالك: بنقول on the bus / on the train بس in the car. تعبيرات ثابتة.

.8 أخطاء شائعة Common Mistakes

الخطأ 1: in بدل at للنقطة المحددة
❌ I'm waiting in the bus stop.
✅ I'm waiting at the bus stop.
الخطأ 2: on بدل in للمكان المغلق
❌ She is on the kitchen.
✅ She is in the kitchen.
الخطأ 3: between مع مجموعة
❌ between the trees
✅ among the trees
